After long time in Athens we present :
>> SHIDAPU (Israel) Live Pa + DJ Set
Shidapu . four talents that interacted with different cooperation between them, and released some great tracks in the beginning of Goa Trance in Israel under the name Shidapu
Shidapu were Roy sason , Erez Eizen, Miki Litvak & Oren Kislev. It all started in 1994 as a group of kids from different parts of Israel (Erez & Roy from the suburbs of Haifa, Miki from Tel-Aviv area and Oren from Zikhron Y...a'akov) met through the modem. They were aged 15-17, working with Impulse Tracker, they started writing music on the computer, exchanging tracks and sounds.
In mid-1995 Miki and Oren formed a PC-music group called tRiP, which featured trance, ambient, house and other electronic music in formats like S3M, IT, XM, MDL. In the end of 1995 Erez joined the group and later brought Roy with him (beginning of '96).
Without seeing each other for 6 months they created a lot of tracks. Later, with the help of Local Friends , they got into the trance scene and their tracks started to spread around in parties in Israel, becoming big hits: Astral Child, Vertigo , Paradise and many many more. The Major Breakout Happened when the group met Avi Nissim (Astral Projection) who liked some of their tracks. We chose the name Shidapu for the band, as we liked the mystic sense of it. Actually it is originated from Sidpao- the Tibetan astrological map. We released 2 tracks on Trust in Trance's Israel`s Psychedelic Trance vol. 1: Paradise and Stay Strong, and Vertigo on Israel`s Psychedelic Trance vol. 2. During all that time Shidapu had a lot of live shows all over Israel and Mainly Europe . More of Shidapu tracks can be found on the TripOut compilation out on Starchild Records (basically Miki's project) and The Light of Shidapu out on Shiva Space Technology (basically Erez's project).
Shidapu – As a band - Stopped to Create & Perform at 1997 , mainly because of the Israeli Army Induction policy : Roy & miki became soldiers which made the Whole thing Quite impossible to be alive .
Each of us chose his different Musical way : Oren quit shidapu in early stage and doesn't make Commercial Music anymore , Miki used to work under the names " Domestic " and " Elegant Universe" and erez izen Became Shiva shidapu ( together with the German DJ Shiva Joreg ) and later " Infected Mushroom " .
Roy Quitted Creating Commercial Music for some long years , until 2005 , the year he started his Progressive\Techno Act Called " MUTe " , Together with Liran Ackerman .
These days , Roy Performs again under the name " Shidapu " and play those magical Tunes which was created be him and his Friends 15 years ago . Roy also works on New School Goa materials which will be released Soon Under The Name " Computer Controlled " .
>> RADICAL DISTORTION (Suntrip Records/ Greece) Live PA
Radical Distortion (John Spanos & Nick Politaridis) are 2 guys from Greece who started composing music together in september of 2003. John was composing music under the project name Mihabra since the beginning of 2000. Nick was in a project called Asinar composing melodic trance. Since february of 2005 their tracks were cooperations of Mihabra & Asinar until Radical Distortion came up to the surfa...ce. Their style is psychedelic trance totaly inspired from old school psychedelic Goa trance (Transwave, MFG, Astral Projection, Man With No Name, Chakra, UX, etc),and the sounds of their music are only from hardware analogue synthesizers!!!
After releasing 2 albums ''Purple energy'' and ''Regenesis'' from Unicorn Music, Radical Distortion have finished their 3rd album ''Psychedelic Dreams'' and released on October 2009 from Suntrip Records! This album is a totaly Goa Trance style that will bring you back the golden times of 1995 & 1996!!
>> GREG STAIKOS (LIFE892.COM) Dj set
Greg Staikos was born in Athens the early 70s. His interest in music first arose while he was 10. Six years of seeking for new streams always in the margin of the scene, and then started mixing in public. At the same time another need was the radio producing. So, the 90’s find him as a pioneer of electronic music with performances at the most underground parties and clubs in Greece (trancemedia, sunrise zone residency, well known private open-air trance parties) and radio producer in the most famous underground music radio stations (Space, Life fm , Nrg fm). During 4 years his radio show ‘Mix Down’ on LifeFm was the one with the biggest audience giving a chance to interview and perform together with the most famous artists of the scene since early 90’s (Morales, J.Wink, C.J. Bolland. Goa Gill, Astral Projection, Tsuyioshi and much more). At that time started releasing his cds containing some of his personal tracks (cd compilations: astral trance vol I, II, trance experience 4, trance xpress vol 2,3,4, novatec tunes). At the year 2000 his 1st personal album with the project L.O.S. is released.
The 00’s is the decade of experimenting So performances vary from dark side of trance to 80’s and influences from all his music culture. Always follows the confirmation that there is only one way of expression that being against the flow and keep it underground, being in the background and always avant-guard. From all that way at the dance scene at the beginning of year 2010 emanates Life892.com Webradio. He's back to the psytrance scene and he's back to stay 4 good this time.. Story keeps rolling.. Stay underground and possesed..
>> MAC (UnitedFront) DJ set
Mac is the one half of NETMAC project and has been resident for UnitedFront in old school and nitzch not parties playing together with big names from the 90s. His style is powerful goa tunes with a twist of psy tunes and will be responsible for the opening of this party.Apart from djing he just released a digital ep as NETMAC called "Urania" which made great impact in the Goa trance scene.
